Leagues

Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center at ODU offers numerous choices for adults to participate in league play.

USTA Leagues take place at Folkes-Stevens from early spring through winter. We are offering 18 & Over Adult Leagues, 40 & Over Adult Leagues, and 55 & Over Adult Leagues. We also offer Combo and Singles Leagues in the summer as well as Tri-Level Leagues in winter. Offerings are based on demand. The levels offered range from USTA NTRP 3.0 to 5.0+. There are typically between 2 and 6 teams competing at each level. Winners of our local leagues proceed to District or Sectional Championships.

For Levels that do not have enough players to make a USTA team, we offer modified leagues and round robins.

We are excited to announce that World Team Tennis is now being played at Folkes-Stevens. The schedule varies by season.

Our In-house leagues include Fall Ball and Winter Indoor Monarch Leagues. These are popular as they fill the gap between USTA seasons and runs for 10 weeks. The leagues are competitive but do not affect one’s USTA rating. As with the USTA leagues, offerings are based on demand. The levels offered range from USTA NTRP 3.0 to 5.0+. There are typically between 2 and 6 teams competing at each level.

We also have various Round Robin play opportunities. Our 4.0/4.5 Big Man, 3.0 Glam Gals, and 4.0/4.5 Big Girl leagues are just a few of our popular Round Robin groups.

We have Mixed Doubles Round Robins periodically on Friday evenings.
